Losing strength when training with weights?


If you are losing strenght on a heavy weight training program you just might me losing out because of over training.

This means you've got yourself loaded up to much volume for your system to recuporate for. Take one or two weeks off, select a new program which has proven to prevent overtraining such as this one.

Make sure you listen to your body every day, when to much muscle soreness occurs week in week out make sure you amp up your protein intake (link) or help your system control your pH levels (link)

Strenght loss while on a strenght program is a red light signal to do things differently!

If you do not grow stronger and/or bigger while seriously engaging in weight training, something is wrong with the combination of your training, sleep and diet.

Please remember that a universal training method does not exist. Neither is there any training routine which can be repeated year in and year out with equally good results.
